Therapy Services

Individual, Relational, or Group Therapy can be a great space learn, grow, and connect. There are not a lot of space or time in our weekly schedules to prioritize ourselves and our relationships. Therapy services can be a way to embrace your experiences and navigate ways to learning and understanding to become unstuck.

Individual Therapy: We all need and deserve a place to go to for support. Individual therapy can be a wonderful space to explore past, present, and future experiences. It can be a secure space where concerns and problems are discussed freely to form everlasting change.

Common Concerns for Individual Therapy: Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Identity Development, Life Transitions, ADD & ADHD, Autism, Chronic Illness & Pain, Grief & Loss, and Trauma

Relationship Therapy: Relationships are the building blocks for a healthy and happy life. Relationships can increase hurt and conflict. It is essential to make space for repairing, restructuring, and reconnecting. Growing and maintaining relationships is hard work. When you are doing the hard work together, it helps with moving through tough times and co-creating a path forward. Relational therapy can help any configuration of people in a relationship with one another.

Common Concerns for Relational Therapy: Relationship Enrichment, Communication & Conflict Resolution, Restoring Trust, Relational/Life Transitions, Sex & Intimacy, Impact of Chronic Medical Concerns, Mental Health or Disabilities, Grief & Loss, Parenting, and Premarital Counseling

Intensive Services

Intensives are for those who are ready to put in the hard work and are open to achieving lasting results in a shorter timeframe than the traditional model of therapy. Intensives are highly personalized to your goals and needs for therapy, as well as giving you lasting tools, techniques, and experiences you can use over a lifetime.

Throughout my tenure in the mental health field, there have been many times where I was like “darn, I wish we had more than 50-55 minutes.” This may be a variety of things in my therapy services. A tough EMDR session where more time to enhance new connections from processing or decrease distress even more before needing to end for the week. A couple's session where we focused on skill building due to the conflict, but didn’t get to actually have an experiential moment to practice the skills before the session was over. How would you like to achieve benefits of months worth of therapy in a few days?

EMDR Intensives

Understanding and considering the pervasive nature of traumatic experiences and promoting healing rather than practices that may inadvertently re-traumatize. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a type of therapy that attempts to alleviate the pain of traumatic or distressing memories and experiences. Research has shown that EMDR is particularly useful for processing traumatic events. It can also be useful for working through anxiety, painful memories or triggers, difficult behavioral issues, and feeling “stuck” while engaging the mind-body connection.

Through EMDR Intensives, allows for less time spent in-between sessions, which potentially can lead to fewer side effects or interruptions. This helps give ample time to focus on your goals and decrease your daily distress. The treatment plan is co-created to help with healing. Please note that in complex cases, especially with multiple traumatic events at a young age, additional intensive work is recommended beyond a few days, or alternative methods to intensives, such as traditional therapy or other trauma-focused therapies, may be discussed.

EMDR Intensives are not repressing the trauma for the whole day. The work is often integrated with other trauma-focused therapy and accessing strengths and values in and outside of intensive. Other modalities that may be integrated into your intensive are Internal Family Systems (IFS)/ Parts work, Narrative Therapy, body-movement, expressive arts, emotional regulation skills, and polyvagal theory.

Relationship Intensives

Relational intensives condense focused work into a shorter timeframe, allowing couples to get unstuck through delving deeper into their issues, gaining new perspectives, and developing communication skills.

Relationship Intensives are being finalized and more information will coming soon!
